Flagellant UI design
Blood Offering allows the Flagellant to heal all hunters within a certain area, but at the cost of taking damage themselves. To visualize this dual effect, I designed a cracked cross surrounded by thorns. The cross symbolizes healing and sacrifice, while the cracks and thorns represent the pain and damage the Flagellant endures. Beneath the cross, I added ripple effects on water to indicate the skill’s area-of-effect nature, with a circular backdrop further reinforcing the idea of a radial healing zone.
Red Fevor empowers allies within a designated area, boosting their abilities while also increasing the damage they receive. During the skill’s duration, the Flagellant’s melee combo is also enhanced. To capture this, I illustrated a rippling water surface to represent the area-based buff. Cracks on the water suggest increased vulnerability, while a dagger and fiery afterimages above the surface symbolize the intensified melee attacks.
The dark red color was chosen because both skills are thematically tied to blood and fervor. This hue reinforces the emotional and physical intensity behind the Flagellant’s abilities—acts of devotion that come with a cost.
